Volotea is one of the fastest growing independent airlines in Europe, with a growing fleet every year, new routes served and seats offered. Since 2012, Volotea has carried over 25 million passengers across Europe. The airline expects between 8.5 and 9.0 million passengers in 2020.

To allow its growth, Volotea has started hiring processes to cover over 200 job positions in France, Italy, Spain, Greece and Germany. In 2020 Volotea will have 1,500 employees.

Challenges

Volotea was looking for a technological partner that could support it in the digitalization of billing processes at an international level and in compliance with the regulations in force in the European countries in which the company operates.

In particular, the urgency arose from the entry into force in January 2019 of the new legislation governing B2B electronic invoicing for private individuals in Italy.
