The Client’s Needs

Padania Alimenti was looking for a technological partner that could manage EDI relationships with the whole retail network in Italy and help it exchange data more efficiently. The limited shelf-life of dairy products and the vast number of daily orders and shipments require expedited freight management and reduced intervals between receipt of an order and delivery of goods.

Implemented Solution: Comarch EDI

Padania Alimenti replaced the existing EDI solution, which involved two different players in the transmission of information to business partners (system integrator and VAN EDI), with Comarch EDI - a comprehensive, cloud-based platform managed exclusively by Comarch that brings concrete benefits in terms of efficiency and reliability in data transmission to Padania Alimenti’s customers (retailers). The main challenge was to migrate relationships from the existing EDI solution to Comarch EDI while maintaining business continuity and preventing stock shortage.
