Max Byloff returns to the Blind Loyalty Challenge live
Tech companies care the most about personalization, and members should never have to think about it. That’s where Max Byloff, CEO of Comarch Loyalty, landed when Amanda Cromhout put him back in the hot seat for the Blind Loyalty Challenge, recorded live at Truth’s International Leaders in Loyalty Summit in Cape Town this September.
Max has taken the challenge before, so he knew there’d be no questions in advance. This time, Amanda took the format onto the stage and questioned three technology leaders in front of a live audience: Max, James Mulroney of CORA Loyalty, and Steven Burnstone of Eighty20.
Three questions and a room full of loyalty leaders
Max got three questions: who really cares about personalization, what his worst personal loyalty experience has been, and why a Negroni is his favorite drink.
“Seamlessly giving your member what they actually care about is something we in the tech space should care about the most, because we’re the ones who can enable it. Members shouldn’t care. They should just feel it.”

His other two answers turn out to be the same story told from opposite ends. One is a hotel that has his data and still greets him like it’s 1972. The other is a resort that paid attention.
We’ll leave the details to Max. Watch to find out which welcome gift keeps missing the mark, and what the pool bar staff did on his tenth visit.
