Italy as one of key markets for Comarch – Polish manufacturer and supplier of modern IT systems

Comarch – a global manufacturer and supplier of IT services and solutions – has set up the first Italian subsidiary of the Capital Group in Milan. This subsidiary employs a team of several presales and sales experts. Its goal will be to acquire customers from the financial, telecommunications, healthcare, and trade and services sectors.

During a press conference on 10 November, Kamila Niekraszewicz, Managing Director of Comarch in Italy, presented the subsidiary’s business profile, current company structure in Italy, plans for the forthcoming years, and projects delivered so far.

Italy is one of the top 10 countries with the highest GDP and the third largest economy in the Eurozone. The country is one of the key markets in terms of our development strategy for Europe. This is why the opening of the office in Milan is an important event for us – says Kamila Niekraszewicz, Managing Director of Comarch Italy. I am convinced that our position in Italy as a professional and reliable provider of IT solutions will strengthen with time. We have comprehensive and innovative offers comprising programs fully adjusted to functioning in electronic economy. What is more, an experienced team working here in Italy, with the support of over 5000 specialists all over the world, will let us fight for large contracts at the Italian market – she added.

Kamila Niekraszewicz also emphasised the fact that the Polish manufacturer has been already successful in the Italian market: the company executed projects for UniCredit Group, Diageo, Medic Air Group, Valeant, and Metro Group, to name a few.

Comarch has already completed the main stage of the implementation of the Comarch Personal Finance Management tool in the Italian UniCredit. The main objective of the project has been to change the way in which online banking is perceived among the bank’s customers, by demonstrating its usefulness. UniCredit also wanted to increase cross-selling and sale of non-banking products, as well as to expand the possibilities of attractive presentation of its offer.

We have a very good reputation among the UniCredit banking group – says Emanuel Sitzia Business Development Manager. Comarch has gained the customer’s recognition by implementing the Personal Finance Management system in UniCredit at the beginning of this year. With this solution, the bank can analyse customer behavior and offer products that are tailored to customer needs and expectations.

Moreover, as a provider of technology and know-how in the medical sector, Comarch works with MedicAir Group, a leader in the Home Care industry in Italy. The contract provides for the delivery and implementation of a telehealth platform consisting of 50 tele-hub devices known as Comarch HMA (Home Medical Assistant). The basic functions of HMA are the synchronisation with a lot of sensors monitoring vital functions (in the case of MedicAir, they include the pulseoximeter, the spriometer, and scales) and the transfer of the information collected to the Comarch e-Care monitoring center organized within the existing call center of MedicAir. The implementation of this equipment started in October 2014.

In the telecom segment, Comarch works with companies that are present on the Italian market as part of capital groups, such as Vodafone. Local structures allow closer proximity to customers in this strategically important market and will certainly contribute to the strengthening of the company’s position in 2016.
