Valeo is an international group specializing in design, production and sale of vehicle parts and systems for automotive industry.

Currently, Valeo employs 111,600 in 33 countries and turnover amounts of 18,6 billion euro. Valeo business partners consists of leading car manufacturers in France (Renault, Peugeot, Citroen), Italy (Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo) and Germany (VW, Audi, GM Opel, Daimler-Chrysler), where the company delivers vehicle parts for the initial assembly.


In Germany, the Valeo Group consists of 19 locations distributed all over the country. There are 8 production plants, several offices, the logistic centre and a research and development sites with over 4 700 end-users.

Extended telecommunication network and servers infrastructure is indispensable for daily maintenance of business processes implemented by Valeo employees. It is managed on daily basis by Regional IT Infrastructure department in Germany.

In order to improve IT processes, Valeo decided to start cooperation with the external IT outsourcing company in 2012. However the selected supplier did not fully comply with requirements set by end-users and IT department. In order to improve the quality of services provided, the Valeo Group decided to change the external outsourcing company and new agreement was signed in 2014 with Comarch for ongoing IT Outsourcing services for IT infrastructure and end-users support.


Implemented Product

As part of the IT outsourcing agreement, Comarch provides centralized Service Desk services in German and English languages as well as ongoing local support for approximately 4 700 end-users in 19 locations across the country. Comarch highly skilled engineers render remotely 24x7 monitoring and administration services for whole IT environment including servers, storages, network and backup system. The added value of selecting Comarch as IT Outsourcer was knowledge of Valeo Group internal standards and procedures, thanks to previous experience from IT Outsourcing services provided for Valeo in Poland, The Netherlands and Norway since 2011. The transition stage was planned with proper care and in many details, which helped to mitigate the risk related to taking over the services from the previous IT Outsourcing company and allowed the seamless takeover of the responsibility for the specific IT areas, which further helped Valeo to improve the efficiency of internal processes within the organization.
