On the 26th of May, Comarch was a sponsor of the 2010 ECR China Conference hosted by GS1 China. The main theme of the conference was: "Cooperation and innovation, supply chains suit with demands.

Participants

Representatives from widely known retailers as well as suppliers from the retail & FMCG sector, such as Unilever, Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, P&G, Tesco, Metro and Ole, took part in the conference. In addition, there were a number of retail & FMCG technology solution companies, food safety experts and pallet logistics and service providers.

Subject Matter

During the conference participants discussed various topics connected with the improvement of supply chain efficiency. They also shared their experience in the implementation of IT solutions and collaboration models within the supply chain. One of the most emphasized topics was data synchronization which nowadays is strongly being promoted among Chinese enterprises in the supply chain. Moreover, some speakers brought up the subject matter of environmental protection in logistics processes as environmental issues are widely being discussed in China.

Comarch Presence

As a  sponsor, Comarch mainly represented itself by having a speaker during the major part of the event. Anna Karasek, Head of ECOD Consulting Asia, explained to all those in attendance how to fulfill customer expectations by using EDI technology and loyalty management programs. Comarch's booth was frequented often as attendees were deeply interested in Comarch's IT solutions.

The 2010 ECR China conference was the first one for Comarch in China. The positive feedback that Comarch received during and after this event is a good indicator of its operations on the Chinese market.
