Celebrating Cooperation and Innovation: Comarch’s Perspective on DTW Ignite 2025

While walking the hallways of DTW Ignite 2025 in Copenhagen, it was clear this year’s event was destined to be unforgettable. With 4,000+ attendees, it was an ideal platform to share innovations and discuss the future of telecommunications and modern solutions for the digital age. Here's a look back at some of the key moments, most-discussed trends, and moments that defined our experience at DTW Ignite 2025.

Establishing a unified framework for AI and autonomous networks

DTW Copenhagen 2025 showcased the rapid evolution of telecommunications, driven by AI advancements, LLM-based agents, and the pursuit of network autonomy. A breakthrough moment was the establishment of a unified framework and shared terminology for discussing artificial intelligence and autonomous networks. For years, these concepts have been debated without cohesive language or standard definitions, leaving room for misinterpretation across regions and industries. This year, however, marked a breakthrough.

Thanks to the dedicated work of TM Forum working groups, we witnessed specialized AI agents integrated with shared databases are shaping telecom AI, but standardization and knowledge sharing remain critical for vendor compatibility and improved operations. While this system is still evolving, it offers a much-needed foundation for collaboration and innovation, similar to how the Open Digital Architecture changed the game a few years ago.

The MEA region leads in AI adoption, fueled by government initiatives and a tech-savvy population, with trends such as automation and vendor independence gaining traction. As 5G and cloud-native networks reshape telecom, initiatives such as Open Digital Architecture (ODA) provide a foundation for universal knowledge-sharing and AI integration.

The rise of AI-based automation solutions

The second, and perhaps most talked-about highlight of DTW 2025, was the widespread demonstration of AI-based automation solutions powered by specialized Agents using large language models. These weren’t just theoretical concepts – they were presented in practical use cases such as solving network issues, orchestrating end-to-end order processes, and enhancing customer service.

This year, the focus was on AI Agents collaborating across specialized domains, incorporating enriched knowledge bases from various sources, such as equipment manufacturers and general telecom knowledge repositories. The potential of these agents to revolutionize operational efficiency and customer experiences is undeniable.

Comarch at DTW Ignite 2025

For Comarch, DTW Ignite 2025 was a resounding success. Our booth captured significant attention, perfectly reflecting the conference's theme, "autonomy of operations through collaboration of AI Agents." Our booth attracted significant attention as we shared our vision for AI-driven innovation in the telecommunications industry. We presented advanced concepts developed through years of research and highlighted the potential of integrated systems to transform operations. The most attention-grabbing solution was our OSS AI Troubleshooting, demonstrating how AI agents can work together to detect and resolve network incidents in real time.

Additionally, our team actively contributed to these important conversations at our booth, but also in exclusive media interviews. Marcin Nowak, Presales Director for Middle East & Africa at Comarch, provided compelling insights during his interview with Telecom Review. Reflecting on opportunities for telco digitalization in the MEA region, he pointed out, “The Middle East's young, tech-savvy population, coupled with government initiatives such as Saudi Vision 2030 and Smart Dubai, is driving unparalleled innovation in the telecom space." Marcin also highlighted the transformative role of AI-powered OSS solutions and the progressing adoption of Digital Twins for futuristic network modeling.

Catalyst zone – collaboration to advance the industry

Collaboration remains a central theme of the event, and the Catalyst projects serve as tangible proof of this. Visitors to the Catalyst Zone could see how Comarch, together with our project partners, contributed to the growth and standardization of the telecommunications industry.

The first project, "Messy Data In, Treasure Out: Boosting Autonomous Networks," showcased the integration of Comarch's Inventory product with a network environment provided by our partners. This collaboration transformed chaotic input data into actionable insights, creating a unified view essential for autonomous network operations.

The second project, "Broadband as a Service: The Future of Wholesale Broadband Ordering – Phase II," builds on last year’s successful foundation. This phase expanded modeling and resource management capabilities within broadband access environments. Comarch specifically enhanced resource order management and activation functionalities, addressing the rapidly growing fiber market and supporting NetCos in their evolving needs.

At DTW Ignite 2025, TM Forum recognized several outstanding Catalyst projects. Among the awarded projects were:
•    "AI-powered legacy modernization to ODA" for GenAI-powered transformation of legacy apps.
•    "End-to-end service realization using intent-based networks" for proactive AI-driven customer experiences.
•    "Monetizing federated connectivity for automotive OEMs" for helping CSPs monetize Network APIs.

The 2025 edition of DTW Ignite reaffirmed that the road to telecom digital transformation is paved with innovation, partnerships, and cutting-edge solutions.

For Comarch, the event underlined our continued role in driving advancements for a smarter, more connected future. Technologies such as agentic AI, autonomous networks, and cloud-native operations took the spotlight, and industry leaders showcased how the application of these technologies can transform the way operators deliver value to customers. For Comarch, it provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, present real-world solutions, and reaffirm our commitment to being at the forefront of these advancements.

We’re already looking ahead to how we can further push boundaries in this exciting and fast-paced industry.
