Comarch at the European Economic Congress 2026: Designing a New Era of Business
From April 22–24, Katowice became the center of the European debate on the future of technology and the economy during the 18th European Economic Congress. Comarch, a long-standing leader in digital transformation, actively shaped this discussion, demonstrating that in the age of digitalization, success depends not only on outstanding code, but above all on the power of dialogue and a deep understanding of business processes.
Company experts – Zbigniew Rymarczyk (Vice President of the Management Board, Director of the ERP Sector), Łukasz Bolikowski (Chief AI Officer), and Tomasz Stachlewski (Chief Technology Officer) – participated in key expert panels and gave interviews to leading media outlets (including Rzeczpospolita, XYZ, Euronews, Business Insider), setting direction for the market in the areas of artificial intelligence, automation, and cybersecurity.
From Task Executors to Managers of AI Agents
Artificial intelligence is completely redefining the paradigm of work. As noted by Dr. Łukasz Bolikowski during the panel “Artificial Intelligence – A New Revolution” and in an interview with Euronews, the IT market has already moved beyond the phase of experimentation and is entering an era of real, standardized AI implementations in products.
As emphasized by Łukasz Bolikowski:
– “We are moving from a model in which people are task executors to one in which every employee becomes a manager of AI agents.”
This shift requires employees to rapidly acquire entirely new competencies: precise prompting, verification of outputs, and providing feedback, replacing traditional micromanagement. Referring to Stanford University research, Łukasz Bolikowski added that AI acts as a powerful amplifier:
– “It strengthens both the positive and negative aspects of how organizations function, including their existing dysfunctions. The scale effect: efficient organizations become even more efficient, while those that struggled before the AI revolution will now feel those challenges even more acutely.”

Technology Is Only Half the Success – Time for a Shift in Mindset
The implementation of innovation alone will not deliver results without a profound reorganization. During the panel “Business Transformation 2030” and in interviews with XYZ and Rzeczpospolita, Zbigniew Rymarczyk pointed out that, according to McKinsey estimates, as many as 73% of jobs will need to be redesigned or created from scratch by 2030.
Zbigniew Rymarczyk emphasized that the key to success lies not only in software, but in the mindset of the workforce:
– “Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly another industrial revolution. At Comarch, we approach it in two ways: on one hand, we deeply transform our organization internally; on the other, we implement tools that build competitive advantage. (...) The key is not chasing technology itself, but shaping the right approach and mindset toward AI among employees.”

In the ERP systems segment, the Kraków-based company continues to maintain a strong focus on the Polish market, delivering modern solutions directly powered by artificial intelligence. Zbigniew Rymarczyk highlighted the progressing agentization of business. Comarch is already developing, among others, digital accounting agents capable of automatically categorizing and posting cost invoices, enabling teams to focus on verification and advanced data analysis. To fully leverage this potential, the company adopts a holistic approach to AI – it has launched an educational program that will be attended by nearly 5,000 employees across all levels.
Zbigniew Rymarczyk also warned against treating AI as a magic wand for operational challenges:
– “When delivering technology to companies, we often encounter the belief that simply implementing a modern tool – without changing internal structures – will automatically improve business performance. This is an incorrect approach. Digitalization, and especially artificial intelligence, must be approached holistically. Even the most brilliant technology will not work in a vacuum without a fundamental reform of operational processes.”
– “Paradoxically, the most difficult stage is not implementing the technology, but convincing people to change their habits. In the age of AI, the greatest challenge is evolving the workforce mindset and proving to employees that new technology is there to support them.”
Zbigniew Rymarczyk also emphasized the growing strength of the “Made in Poland” brand, which has become a strong synonym for high quality and innovation in Polish engineering across Western markets.

Democratization of AI and Data Sovereignty
The Polish economy and domestic enterprises demonstrate a strong openness to innovation and a willingness to grow based on the latest technologies. In an interview with Business Insider, Tomasz Stachlewski noted that the market is rapidly transitioning from fascination with Generative AI to the development of practical implementations. However, as he strongly emphasized:
– “A significant mistake is to perceive artificial intelligence solely as the domain of the IT department. Organizations that entrust process modernization through AI only to technical teams expose themselves to disappointing results. True success will be achieved by those companies that treat artificial intelligence as a catalyst for transforming the entire organizational approach and as a fundamental reform of how work is performed.”
Tomasz Stachlewski also dispelled the myth that new technology is a ready-made remedy for organizational disorder:
– “We often perceive artificial intelligence as a tool for organizing chaos, but in reality, without precisely defined processes, consistent data, and a clear division of responsibilities, AI will only amplify that chaos.”
He emphasized that a reliable structuring of business mechanisms must be the essential first step. Comarch supports its clients in making these key decisions, providing them with full flexibility in selecting algorithms perfectly tailored to their unique operational needs.
During expert panels, Tomasz Stachlewski also highlighted cybersecurity issues. He assured that for the Kraków-based company, data sovereignty is an absolute foundation. Companies that train models within a provider’s infrastructure are guaranteed that their data is fully isolated and does not feed global, public algorithms. Tomasz Stachlewski also reminded:
– “Cybersecurity is not a one-time implementation, but a continuous process. Even the best tools lose effectiveness without ongoing care, which is why long-term partnership is key to staying one step ahead of threats.”

The contributions of Comarch’s leaders during EEC 2026 demonstrate one thing clearly: the market is on the threshold of a new, automated B2B reality. With outstanding engineering capital, extensive experience, and strategic support from a CVC fund, the Polish company successfully competes with global giants, delivering intelligent and secure software to its clients. Comarch is ready to guide enterprises safely through the era of digital transformation.
