The Data Science Summit AI Edition has wrapped up – one of the most important and largest technological events dedicated to artificial intelligence and machine learning. The conference gathered innovation leaders, top market experts, and a large audience seeking practical business solutions. For Comarch, participating in this event was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how the way software is developed on a global scale is truly being redefined.

The Voice of Comarch Experts on the Main Stage

The main highlight of Comarch's presence on the event's stage was the joint panel "Developer Experience stack at Comarch", led by Łukasz Bolikowski (Chief AI Officer) and Wojciech Guziak (Head of Developer Experience). In their presentation, the experts combined a grand business vision with tangible results of implementations within the organization.

Vision and Strategy: Heading Towards Autonomous Agents

In the first part of the speech, Łukasz Bolikowski outlined the framework of our company's new strategy. Thanks to the support of the CVC fund, Comarch is dynamically transforming into an agile, innovative organization while maintaining its global scale.

A key element of this strategy is the "Agentic AI first" approach. We no longer think only about traditional user interfaces (UI). We are building systems ready for direct interaction with autonomous digital assistants.

"We are implementing AI into our products not only at the traditional user interface level, but also by creating solutions dedicated to autonomous agents. We believe that the future belongs to systems based on task delegation. Instead of clicking through an application themselves, users will entrust duties to their digital assistants, which will then interact directly with our software," emphasized Łukasz Bolikowski.

Importantly, our transformation stands on solid infrastructural foundations. To remain competitive and optimize costs, Comarch is investing in its own GPU servers deployed across our data centers, which allows for testing and serving advanced models (such as the latest open-weights GLM 5.2) in-house.

Developer Experience (DX) in Practice

In the second part of the presentation, it was underscored that the greatest challenge at such a large scale is implementing innovation for every single engineer, not just a handful of enthusiasts. Wojciech Guziak (Head of Developer Experience) shared how this task is being carried out behind the scenes.

The philosophy of the DX team is based on a simple principle: "Rules force compliance, but value is what makes people want to use something on their own." Developers there are treated like end-users of internal tools. Instead of rigidly imposing a single, expensive language model on the entire company, Comarch DX has created an intelligent ecosystem for cost and context optimization. The proprietary "Tech Stack" presented at the DSS AI Edition drew immense interest from the panel participants:

  • Mother Router – instantly selects the cheapest appropriate AI model for each task (ranging from advanced to cost-effective ones). Along the way, it ensures security (removes sensitive data from queries) and manages the cache so as not to pay twice for the same thing.
  • LogStrip: Features an advanced compression and pattern recognition algorithm for log models across various ecosystems.
  • SpecWire detects "spec drift," meaning the divergence between code and documentation. It operates bidirectionally.
  • PromptScript, features mechanisms for inheritance, extension, and building hierarchical prompt repositories.

The measurable effects of these solutions unequivocally confirmed the effectiveness of the new approach in practice. Just 28 days after the global rollout, average digital resource consumption dropped by nearly 25% per user, yielding massive savings while simultaneously increasing system accuracy.

Transformation of the People Area: Presentation by Joanna Trzaska-Lorenz

An important element of Comarch's participation in the event was also a presentation in the online segment, co-hosted during the official inauguration by Joanna Trzaska-Lorenz (Group Talent Acquisition Director), among others. She introduced participants to the technological transformation strategy within the People function and spoke about the intensive recruitment of specialists for key positions related to AI, MLOps, and next-generation software development. It is these talents that are helping us build a future powered by artificial intelligence.

Market Context and the Expo Zone

The conference was officially opened by the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance, Jurand Drop, who in his speech mentioned AI factories driving the Polish economy and the development of domestic language models. This market context perfectly aligned with the strategy of Comarch – a company currently serving clients across 5 continents (including dozens of Fortune 500 enterprises) – which successfully combines local innovation with a global scale of operations.

In addition to the rich program of presentations, a major highlight of the conference was the bustling Expo zone. It gathered leading global brands, with companies such as T-Mobile, PwC, Capgemini, Bayer, Xebia, monday.com, SIX, Shelf, and QRT presenting their solutions and booths. The presence of such diverse exhibitors created an excellent space for networking and hallway conversations.

The packed-to-capacity Kinoteka hall, a strong representation of prestigious partners at the Expo, and numerous questions from an engaged audience confirmed that Comarch is sharing knowledge that is unique across the entire market, setting standards for the practical and effective application of modern solutions in business.
