From AI Assistants to AI Agents – Media Coverage of Comarch’s Technological Evolution
The past year has been a period of intensive work for Comarch on implementing a new strategy built around artificial intelligence. This technological, product and operational transformation is no longer only an internal process within the company. It has also become a topic widely covered by business and industry media. Comarch’s activities, development plans and changes related to the use of AI have been covered by outlets including “Rzeczpospolita”, “Business Insider”, “ITwiz” magazine, Euronews and the Romanian financial daily “Ziarul Financiar”. Money.pl and “Puls Biznesu”, in turn, reported on panels and discussions featuring Comarch representatives during the Impact'26 congress.
In conversations with editorial teams, interviews and appearances at industry events, Comarch board members and experts show the direction in which the company is developing and the challenges involved in implementing AI in business. However, we do not talk about artificial intelligence solely in terms of a broad “revolution”. We focus on specific changes: the transition to Agentic AI, the automation of processes in products, the transformation of software development methods and the new roles people will play in organizations using advanced technologies.
Jarosław Mikos on the Era of Agentic AI and the Business Realities of Transformation
Jarosław Mikos, CEO of Comarch, spoke about the direction of AI development, among other occasions, during the Impact'26 congress, as reported by Money.pl. He pointed to a significant technological shift: the transition from systems that support users to so-called Agentic AI, meaning autonomous algorithms capable of carrying out tasks end to end.
In an interview with “Rzeczpospolita”, Jarosław Mikos emphasized that the effective implementation of such solutions will be one of the key conditions for companies to maintain their competitiveness. He warned that organizations that delay AI adoption for too long may find themselves in a widening “competitiveness canyon”.
During Comarch User Group, as noted by the Romanian daily “Ziarul Financiar”, the President of Comarch highlighted the practical dimension of this transformation. He stressed that new technologies require organizations to be ready to redesign their structures, processes and ways of working. At the same time, he noted that the development of autonomous systems must go hand in hand with human oversight, accountability and clear control mechanisms.
Zbigniew Rymarczyk on the Achievements and Ambitions of the ERP Sector
In conversations with “Business Insider” and “Rzeczpospolita”, Zbigniew Rymarczyk, Vice President of the Management Board of Comarch, discussed the company’s third stage of development, supported by its cooperation with the CVC Capital Partners fund. The goal is clearly defined: Comarch aims to become a global point of reference in ERP systems.
The Vice President announced the implementation of specialized AI agents that will automate logistics and accounting processes. This means a gradual move away from manual data entry and a change in the role of people – from performing repetitive tasks to becoming controllers, decision-makers and verifiers of system operations.
Zbigniew Rymarczyk also presented the vision of “Planet Comarch” – an integrated network connecting more than 100,000 companies using our software. In such an environment, AI agents could automatically communicate between different organizations, supporting data exchange and streamlining business processes.
Mateusz Woźniak on the “everything, everywhere, all at once” transformation
In an interview with Business Insider, Mateusz Woźniak, Chief Transformation Officer at Comarch, presented AI transformation as a change affecting products, processes and the way the entire organization operates at the same time. He emphasized that the classic IT business on which Comarch was built is not a limitation today, but an advantage: it provides the scale, data and context needed to effectively implement AI-first solutions. He also pointed to the Value Creation Plan, which includes more than 200 initiatives across different areas of the company, and to the growing use of Google tools, including agentic solutions. One of the strongest points in the interview was the perspective on the future of work: AI does not mean the end of work, but a change in its nature. Agency, critical thinking, readiness to use new tools and the ability to collaborate with AI agents will become increasingly important. As Mateusz Woźniak noted, managers will operate in flatter structures, while every employee will, in practice, become the manager of their own small team of digital agents.
Tomasz Stachlewski on the Technological Backbone of the Transformation
Tomasz Stachlewski, CTO of Comarch, discussed the technological side of these changes in an interview with “ITwiz” magazine. He explained how the company is redesigning its internal production processes and developing tools that support AI-based software development.
He announced that by the end of 2026, most Comarch ERP products will be based on agentic functionalities powered by the internal AI Hub platform. He also pointed to changes in the team operating model. Comarch is moving towards agile, 2–3 person development teams which, with AI support, are able to independently control the full software lifecycle – from concept and development to maintenance.
Łukasz Bolikowski on New Competencies and the Role of People
The perspective on the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market and the day-to-day operation of organizations was presented by Łukasz Bolikowski, Chief AI Officer at Comarch. In an interview with Euronews and during a debate at Impact'26, reported on by “Puls Biznesu”, he emphasized that employees will increasingly take on the role of managers of digital agents.
This shift requires new competencies: precise task delegation, the ability to provide effective feedback, an understanding of algorithmic limitations and avoiding micromanagement of AI systems. Łukasz Bolikowski also highlighted the importance of the Comarch AI Academy initiative, which prepares the company’s employees to use new technologies effectively.
He also emphasized that Poland – thanks to its strong base of IT talent – has the potential to compete successfully in the global new technologies market. At the same time, he noted that companies should closely follow the development of other breakthrough areas, including quantum computing.
Kamil Migacz on Cybersecurity in the Age of AI
Kamil Migacz, Enterprise Technology Officer in Comarch’s ERP sector, also contributed to the nationwide discussion on digital security. During a debate organized by the XYZ editorial team, he pointed out that at a time when cybercriminals are actively using artificial intelligence, organizations must pay particular attention to the fundamentals of cybersecurity.
Among the key measures, he identified automated backups, phishing awareness training and clear incident response procedures. He emphasized that properly implemented backups can be decisive in the event of a ransomware attack, enabling a company to resume operations quickly and limit the impact of the incident.
Comarch as an Active Participant in Technological Change
The presence of Comarch representatives in the media shows that the market is closely watching the direction we have chosen. We are moving from assumptions to concrete actions, and the solutions developed by our teams are becoming an important point of reference for the entire industry.
For Comarch, AI-based transformation is not a single project, but a long-term change in the way products are created, work is organized and customers are supported in their digital development. From AI assistants to AI agents – this evolution is already underway.
