A customized version of Comarch’s security token tPro ECC has been certified in Ukraine in accordance with the local standard for digital signature. Comarch is the first foreign company to have obtained such a certification for one of its products.

Part of the Comarch Transaction Protection suite, tPro ECC is a USB token generating digital signatures based on elliptic curves cryptography. Driverless, OS agnostic and browser independent, tPro ECC is an extremely user-friendly solution for secure authentication and authorization. Furthermore, the token is delivered with a built-in button that the user has to push and release in order to generate the signature, thereby reducing remote attacks.

The Ukrainian version of the token, developed in partnership with Comarch’s local distributor IT Park, supports Ukraine’s standard of digital signature, along with the GOST and Kupyna hash functions. As a result, tPro ECC can be easily integrated into the infrastructure of any Ukrainian bank to secure customer data and transactions.

The customization of tPro ECC for the Ukrainian market has been a challenging task involving, among others, the adoption of a new microcontroller. The results, however, are above our expectations: even selecting the strongest curve provided by the standard, the generation of the signature takes less than one second”, said Giovanni Valvo, Product Manager of Comarch Transaction Protection.

Comarch and IT Park, which is a sister company of Ukraine’s leading information security integrator SVIT IT, cooperate within the framework of the tPro Partner Program. For more information about the program and its benefits for distributors and system integrators, please visit our product page.
