On Friday September 18th, Comarch Benelux organized its first internal event in Brussels – Insurance Breakfast. During this instructive morning, senior-level insurance professionals from the entire Benelux region could gain knowledge about current and future trends in the insurance business and get some practical tips on how to become ‘tomorrow’s insurer’.
The event also offered many networking opportunities in-between presentations – this interactional aspect of the event was deeply appreciated by the participants and presenters. Besides, a nice surprise awaited insurance breakfast’s guests as they had a chance to win a smartwatch by participating in a poll focused on event’s topics and insurers’ opinions related to them.
The event was very substantial – after the welcome speech by Country Manager Wojciech Pawlus, Stephan Podevyn from Ensur presented the path to follow while dealing with insurance migration projects. Then, Comarch IoT expert – Szymon Uczciwek talked about Internet of Things innovations that the insurance sector can benefit from, e.g. connected cars, smart homes and health monitoring devices. This presentation triggered an insightful discussion among the participants. Next was Comarch insurance expert – Marek Paradowski who demonstrated numerous user interfaces and explained how insurers should respond to various needs of different customer generations. Closing the event, Benelux Business Development Manager – Raphaël de Schrynmakers revealed the poll results and the lucky smartwatch winner. All Insurance Breakfast guests left the event with new insights, full goodie bags and satisfaction.
Insurance Breakfast was a challenging undertaking as we believe it was the first edition of what might become the series of Comarch local events in the Benelux. Based on this event we can analyze how we can do even better at the future attempts. We are happy with the results – we received a highly positive feedback from the attendees appreciating the short-informal meeting concept and a good choice of presentation topics including migration, user experience, and Internet of Things. In conclusion, we have gained some crucial contacts with high-potential clients and traced the road for the events to come thanks to our local consulting partner – Ensur, as well as Comarch experts: Szymon Uczciwek and Marek Paradowski whose brilliant presentations captured participants’ attention.
