Comarch Wins “E-Invoicing Technology Excellence Award” at The GATE Summit Oman 2026
Comarch has received the “E-Invoicing Technology Excellence Award” at The GATE Summit Oman 2026, presented as part of the summit’s GATE Honours awards program on September 24 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Muscat. The award recognizes Comarch’s e-Invoicing platform and its role in helping businesses navigate Oman’s new compliance landscape while staying connected to the wider global e-invoicing ecosystem.
Platinum Sponsorship and a Keynote on Global Interoperability
Comarch joined the summit’s 5th edition as a Platinum Sponsor. Running under the theme “Beyond the Mandate – Architecting the Future of Frictionless Finance,” the event brought together CFOs, tax directors, finance leaders, government representatives, and technology providers to discuss the future of tax and finance in Oman – against the backdrop of the country’s Vision 2040 digital transformation agenda and the rollout of Fawtara, Oman’s mandatory e-invoicing program built on the Peppol 5-corner model.
Jakub Frankiewicz, Global Consulting Director at Comarch, delivered the keynote “Global Interoperability – Integrating Peppol, ERP & Cross-Border Tax Systems,” arguing that legacy ERPs like SAP, Oracle, and Dynamics were never built for real-time tax reporting, and that decoupling the compliance layer keeps systems stable as mandates evolve. He also joined the panel “The Future of Tax – AI, Automation, & Real-Time Compliance in Oman,” discussing how GCC mandates are converging on real-time reporting – and why one reusable integration platform beats rebuilding for every market.

Big Win: The E-Invoicing Technology Excellence Award
During the GATE Honours ceremony, Comarch received the E-Invoicing Technology Excellence Award, recognizing the platform’s certified global compliance footprint and its approach to turning Oman’s Fawtara mandate into an entry point for seamless, cross-border interoperability. It’s a tremendous honor and a strong signal that our approach resonates with the region’s tax and finance community.
The recognition comes at a concrete moment for Oman’s e-invoicing rollout: the Fawtara pilot for around 100 of the country’s largest VAT-registered taxpayers has been running since August 2026, with the mandate due to extend to the rest of the market, including SMEs, in subsequent phases throughout 2027. As each new wave of companies comes into scope, Comarch helps them connect to the OTA’s Peppol 5-corner infrastructure from day one.
Thank you to The GATE Summit Oman organizers, our fellow speakers and panelists, and everyone who stopped by our booth or booked a 1:1 meeting with us on the day – your engagement made the event a success, and we’re grateful for the recognition.
