The new version of the InfoStore solution is a response to current market trends in Enterprise Content Management solutions. Infostore version 10.1 meets customer requirements even more effectively due to its improved functionality as well as the technology it supports. A greater number of supported databases for the MS SQL server, a new mechanism for content capture and sophisticated permission modeling are only some of the changes.

Enterprise Content Management solutions are a group of tools supporting a company's content management for content that is accumulated in both unstructured documents (e-mails, faxes, scans, paper documents, pictures, office and project documents) or structured (data, forms) and the business processes associated with them. Areas which are supported include, among others; document management, effective archiving of information in different formats, workflow, data capture and advanced search tools. Solutions of this class offer tools for helping employees carry out business processes and their supervisors for controlling them - says Dariusz Biernacki, Director of the Business Unit responsible for Comarch Infostore ECM consulting.

The product in its present form has been based on Comarch's more than 10 years experience in implementations of ECM solutions in large companies and the 18 years of experience of Comarch Swiss in implementations for small-medium enterprises on the DACH market. The new edition of the platform is richer in terms of functionality and is compatible with technological trends in the market - says Adam Beldzik, Director of the Business Unit responsible for production of Comarch InfoStore ECM.

Included among the innovations of the new 10.1 version:

  • A graphical tool for modeling business processes (process designer)
  • A new and expanded privileges model
  • New mechanisms for mass content capture (background importer)
  • A client application for the iPhone
