Comarch has been recognized by the Oman Tax Authority (OTA) as a Pre-Approved Accredited Service Provider (ASP) for e-invoicing services in Oman. The pre-approved ASP status is granted by the OTA following an initial assessment confirming that a provider meets the requirements set out for service providers operating within the Fawtara e-invoicing framework. Achieving this status confirms our readiness to deliver e-invoicing services in line with Oman’s legal and technical requirements.

What ASP Status Means for Businesses in Oman

As Oman rolls out Fawtara, its national e-invoicing framework built on the Peppol network, appointing an accredited service provider is becoming central to compliance. The system operates on a 5-corner model linking the supplier, the supplier’s service provider, the buyer’s service provider, the buyer, and the OTA, replacing direct, unregulated exchanges between trading partners with a secure, standardized flow of invoice data.

Being recognized as a pre-approved ASP means Comarch’s e-invoicing platform has already undergone the OTA’s initial review and has been confirmed to be aligned with the technical, security, and regulatory standards defined by the Oman Tax Authority for participation in the Fawtara e-invoicing system. This gives companies preparing for their own rollout phase the assurance that Comarch can support their transition to compliant, real-time invoice exchange without disruption to their operations.

“We've watched e-invoicing mandates unfold across dozens of markets, and the pattern is always the same: the companies that move early with a proven provider avoid the scramble everyone else faces in the final months before go-live. Oman is no exception, and we want our clients ahead of that curve. This is simply the next market on that list for us”, said Adam Beldzik, E-Invoicing Sector Director at Comarch.

Further details on the service provider criteria are available on the Oman Tax Authority’s official website.

Prepare for Fawtara’s e-Invoicing with Comarch

Fawtara is being introduced in stages: Phase 1 took effect in August 2026 for the first wave of large VAT-registered companies, with Phase 2 extending the obligation to all large VAT-registered businesses from February 2027, and subsequent phases bringing remaining VAT-registered entities into scope through 2028.

With Phase 1 already underway and further phases following through 2028, businesses are encouraged to secure an accredited service provider without delay.

Comarch’s platform draws on established global experience in e-invoicing compliance, combined with dedicated regional expertise, to help businesses in Oman align local Fawtara requirements with their broader operational and compliance needs.
