Comarch has become a sponsor of the Belgian premier league football club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. The team finished second in the Jupiler Pro League in the 2021/2022 season. The runner-up title gave it the right to play in the Champions League qualifiers. The IT company will support the players in 2022/2023.
The sponsorship of the team from the Brussels Capital Region is aimed at creating cooperation on a wider scale, which will help build even greater recognition of the Comarch brand in the Kingdom of Belgium. Comarch is the largest Polish investor in Belgium, and the Benelux region is one of the most important markets for the entire Comarch group. The company's Brussels branch employs 15 different nationalities, and in recent years the company has won numerous references such as Proximus, Telenet, Crelan, P&V, AGFA, and ING.
Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is also a club with a long tradition - this year they will celebrate their 125th anniversary. During this time, the team has won the Belgian championship title eleven times and reached the national cup twice. The club is popular with both Flemish and French-speaking residents of the Brussels Capital Region and Belgium as a whole. The owners are Alex Muzio (President) and Tony Bloom.
