Comarch becomes official sponsor of Mateusz Kusznierewicz’s SSL Team Poland for the Sailing World Championship in Rio
Comarch has become the official sponsor of SSL Team Poland. The Polish crew, led by Mateusz Kusznierewicz, is preparing for the SSL Gold Cup finals in Rio de Janeiro, where it will compete against national teams from around the world in December 2026.
This will be the Polish team’s second appearance at the Sailing World Championship. Drawing on its experience from the previous edition in Gran Canaria, the crew is returning to the competition with a new preparation plan and the ambition to go further this time. The partnership with Comarch is intended to support the team as it prepares for this challenge.
“I am delighted and proud to announce that Comarch is joining SSL Team Poland as our Official Sponsor. I have the pleasure of working with Comarch as an ambassador, and I know how closely the company identifies with the values we share on board: We work side by side; We push boundaries; We make it happen. Our first appearance at the Sailing World Championship was a lesson from which we drew important conclusions. We reorganised the line-up, developed a professional preparation process and built a team of athletes with a tremendous appetite for success. The support of a partner that has been guiding companies through successive waves of technological change for three decades gives us the stability and strength to keep moving forward and take things one step further,” says Mateusz Kusznierewicz, Olympic champion, Comarch ambassador and leader of SSL Team Poland.
“At Comarch, we have great people who help our customers navigate the world of new technologies every day. I know how important experience, thorough preparation and collaboration are when taking on challenges like these. That is why I am particularly pleased that we can join forces with Mateusz Kusznierewicz and SSL Team Poland. Mateusz Kusznierewicz is not only an outstanding sailor, but also an experienced entrepreneur who applies his knowledge of strategy, leadership and teamwork in business. I am firmly behind the team and wish them every success in Rio,” says Jarosław Mikos, CEO of Comarch.
The SSL Gold Cup is a competition between national teams held in a tournament format. The outcome depends not only on the skills of individual athletes, but also on tactics, the ability to assess conditions on the water and cooperation across the entire crew. Teams need to know where they are heading, read the situation and make decisions that will keep them on the right course, even when conditions change.
This approach is also close to Comarch’s way of working with customers. The company develops solutions that support businesses through successive stages of technological change – from digitalisation and cloud solutions to artificial intelligence. It combines technological expertise with an understanding of business realities. The role of Comarch teams is not only to point customers in the right direction, but also to understand the challenges they face every day and support them as they make their next decisions.
For SSL Team Poland, the December competition will be another opportunity to test itself against the world’s leading teams. Its ambitions, however, extend beyond a single tournament. The project is set to develop through further participation in international regattas, with the aim of building experience ahead of the next edition of the SSL Gold Cup in 2030.
The final stage of the SSL Gold Cup in Rio de Janeiro will begin on 19 November 2026. The first race featuring the Polish crew is scheduled for 2 December. The races will be streamed online free of charge.
