Comarch NOL (Online Trading)
Problem
The needs of stock investors in terms of information access, messages and up-to-date stock quotes are always unchanged – data should be provided as soon as possible in the widest possible scope. Currently, in addition to the two above mentioned components, the method of passing on data to users also comes into prominence, represented by application features such as transparency and intuitive service.
Challenge
The ideal application should therefore, on the one hand, represent the ergonomics of a user interface tailored to the needs of both a new stock player and a respected analyst, and on the other hand – transferring the maximum data scope needed for making optimal investment decisions. Comarch has in its product range a solution that connects both requirements – the Comarch Online Trading application.
Solution
Comarch Online Trading is a fully developed application that enables real-time tracking of quotations and trading of financial instruments listed on the stock exchange or trading facilities, analysis of current and past market trends, as well as creating individual investment strategies tailored to the profile of the investor.
Access to securities quotes is realized through the use of an exchange data stream (eg. SIR - Stream of Market Information) or industry protocols.
The application can be used both by Internet users and Brokerage House employees.
Application modules:
- Quotations window - the main window of the application, showing the current quotes of selected instruments listed on the stock exchange, distributed on the so-called ‘tabs’. Each of the tabs allows the user to personalize the displayed data by allowing him to define a set of instruments which will be placed on each of them.
- Market monitor - this window shows chronologically the information regarding current transactions executed on a specific group of assets (such as shares) during the trading session.
- Details of asset - a window allowing reading of the most important information regarding the asset.
- Market activity - a window containing summary information on the instruments from the active quotations tab, in particular presenting the status of quotations and information about its stock turnover.
- Orders sheet - a sheet that displays detailed information about the buy and sell offers entering the market, amount of offers for various prices levels and quantities of orders for specific price levels.
- Transactions table - a window containing detailed information on all transactions executed on the instrument since the start of the trading session.
- Ticker - ticker allows for presentation of quotations in the form of a moving bar with the current price value and its percentage change.
- Alarms - a module that enables the user to create, change and delete alerts regarding quotes.
- Charts - a module that displays the information about quotations in the form of figures or charts based on historical or intraday quotes. The application delivers a package of tools for technical analysis, among others: EMA moving average, LWMA, or SMA (I, II and III), as well as cycle lines, trends, and a number of other graph elements. In addition to the above mentioned, on the chart window, the user can impose a wide range of additional indicators to assist in the interpretation of data: STS, RSI, ADX, ATR, Ultimate Oscillator Momentum, ROC, MACD, Volume, Williams% R, CCI and Lop.
- Market news – a window to review real-time press agency messages regarding the capital market, money market and investment funds segment.
- DDE module – a module that allows the dynamic copying of quotations to an MS Excel spreadsheet.
The application has an integrated transaction module to provide a quick submission of orders directly from the quotations table.
The Comarch Online Trading application, depending on the needs of the customers, can be expanded with additional modules:
