Beginning in 2009, Comarch ECOD is active in Asia. After six months of operations in Vietnam, Comarch has begun cooperation with 200 customers in this market. As a result, many vendors are ready to receive orders from Metro Vietnam through the ECOD platform. Talks with other chains, that will also be implementing electronic document exchange (EDI - Electronic Data Interchange) soon, are also in progress.

- This topic has raised a lot of interest in the retail & FMCG industry in Vietnam. Both the commercial networks, which are comprised of about ten companies, as well as manufacturers and distribution companies, see the huge advantages in the field of logistics and business that can be gained through electronic exchange of documents . Currently, only electronic orders are exchanged, but additional document types will be implemented in 2010, including electronic invoices - says Marzena Kowalkowska, Director of the Asian branches of Comarch.

The electronic exchange of documents make it possible for partners in B2B relationships to achieve tangible benefits, both by reducing the costs associated with paper documents (the costs of postage, printing, archiving, human error), as well as by the certainty and speed in the delivery of key business data.
