Comarch ECOD China joined the ECR, a division of GS1 in Asia. ECR China is working on customer-oriented activities, taking care of increased supply chain efficiency and promotion of these solutions through its information activities. The accession to this organization obliges Comarch ECOD to actively participate in workshops, conferences and other activities of ECR China.

-Thanks to our activities within the organization we are more closely aligned with customers, ECR, international corporations and local leaders of the FMCG industry. This requires us to establish valuable relationships, which in China's traditional sales model could take months. Close contact with leading players on the market enables obtaining information regarding the current requirements of their customers' problems.  It all helps in the development of our products in accordance with local requirements - says Marzena Kowalkowska, director of the Asian branch of Comarch.

ECR China was created in 2001 to promote the use of ECR techniques. The aim is to reduce supply chain costs in the FMCG sector and to become more flexible and responsive to client needs. Comarch has been present in Asia since 2009, and also has offices in Vietnam and China. In Vietnam, Comarch already has 200 clients. Numerous vendors are ready to receive orders from Metro Vietnam via the Comarch ECOD Platform. Interviews with consecutive networks have also been organized and projects relating to the electronic exchange of documents are soon to be commenced. In China, talks are being held with Chinese company Inspur with a view to cooperation in the future.
