PPG Deco Polska Sp. z o.o. is a manufacturer of the leading paints and varnishes on the Polish market, including the company’s flagship brand – Dekoral. PPG Deco Polska Sp. z o.o. also owns Domalux, Drewnochron, Cieszynka, Dekoral Gold and Sigma. It employs 750 people.

PPG Group is well-known all over the world. With its registered office in Pittsburgh (USA), PPG is a global supplier of paints, industrial varnishes, chemical products, optical products, glass and other specialist materials. The company manages over 140 plants in more than 60 countries.

PPG Deco Poland Sp. z oo teamed up with Comarch SA in terms of an IT system to communicate with business and sales partners - Comarch SFA Online Sales Support. Parameter setting analysis and the system design was prepared by Comarch SA in just 3 months and after PPG Deco Poland’s approval it was handed over for production. Commercial launch of Studio Dekoral Partner On-line took place in March 2011.

Situation before implementation

 

PPG Deco Polska was searching for an IT tool to facilitate effective communication with business partners. The other areas that PPG Deco Polska wished to improve included: effective market data collection directly from business partners, encouraging purchases through various promotional campaigns and settlement of purchase orders.

An additional incentive for PPG Deco Polska was the desire to share the company’s information gathered in its ERP system with its business partners to increase the sales of both PPG Deco Polska and its business partners.

 

Solution

 

An analysis conducted by Comarch SA together with PPG Deco Polska indicated that Comarch SFA Online Sales Support would be the best system to fully satisfy the business needs of PPG Deco Polska. The Comarch SA system had thus far proven to be an excellent tool for communicating with distributors in the FMCG industry. The implementation concept prepared by Comarch assumed customization of the layout and rebuilding the system to put more emphasis on tasks defined by PPG Deco Polska and communication with business partners while maintaining the existing reporting functionalities.
