The CEE market has already perceived the benefits of EDI

- We have observed significant progress in EDI in this region during this time. At the beginning, most companies were reluctant to change their supply chain management and therefore our activities concentrated mainly on increasing EDI awareness. Pioneers included international retailers like Metro, Billa or Praktiker who had follow-up projects in other countries. After a few hundreds producers and distributors began to use EDI, other retailers joined the EDI network or began preparing for the project - says Bartłomiej Wójtowicz, ECOD Conulting Director - Central and Eastern Europe.
