> New elements
Plugins (new extensibility mechanism)
With this module, a user has the ability to define special handling for events related to the lifecycle of archived documents.
Usage possibilities:
- Auto-complete index values of the document based on data from an external system
- Defining validation rules and the special relationship between the indexes of documents
- Prompting a list of possible values for the index based on information from an external system
- Binding events of the lifecycle of a document with any actions (e.g. starting a business process associated with the document type)
Offline Archive
Enables working with documents stored in the repository more easily. It is now possible to store the chosen documents locally (e.g.: on a user’s notebook) in the Offline Archive and then synchronizing the data with the document repository after the changes are made.
Background Importer (new extensibility mechanism)
The Background Importer makes most integrations in 3rd party applications quite easy to implement by importing documents as they are delivered to a watchfolder. Index files can be provided in CSV and/or XML format. The user can convert almost any source index format with a new built-in converter.
IPhone App
Now users have access to their ECM wherever they want with the new iPhone App. It provides many of the functionalities such as browsing for documents, adding notes, viewing and sending documents by email, and taking pictures and sending them directly to ECM.
