Comarch Fault Management
Comarch Fault Management monitors all existing elements of the network, displays and efficiently tracks alarms. It helps operators effectively manage network problems and solve issues that are at the root of network faults.
Main functionalities:
- Full configuration of alarm processing – faster identification of failures; users can allocate tasks according to internal company processes; all alarms are collected, processed and displayed in real-time, with alarm information automatically updated – providing the actual state of the network; automatic filters allow fast, context-based navigation (less time consuming)
- Sophisticated alarm visualization interface – apart from visualizing the list of alarms the system is able to use maps in order to visualize the status of the network infrastructure; geographical, logical and hierarchical visualization is possible, as well as a floor plan view of the network and its faulty elements through imported AutoCAD DXF files; this enables users to obtain complete information about faulty elements’ location and pass it over to other team members in order to optimize repair times
- Reasoning Engine – Comarch's proprietary correlation module which automates the processing of alarm events; the engine is equipped with internal rule definition language, which is seamlessly configurable; the aim is to speed up event management and identification of alarm roots; by defining reasoning scenarios users can transfer the corporate infrastructure know-how to the system and obtain alarms pointing out the real cause of the problem
- Standard functions to be used during the definition of scenarios in order to retrieve additional data during execution of correlation rules: notifications, event generators, counters, database connections and queries, FTP/Telnet/SSH operations, remote command execution
Benefits:
- Improved management of network failures – faster reaction to all kinds of problems with the infrastructure
- Improved network / service reliability with centralized and unified control across all network domains
- Reduced operational and maintenance costs
- Reduction of the amount of manual tasks due to full automation of fault management tasks – cost and time savings
- Easy integration with your existing systems and other Comarch tools
