The establishment of a new mobile operator in the Netherlands, the launch of completely innovative mobile services (multi-IMSI SIM cards, callback calls enabling avoidance of roaming costs, etc.) in addition to introducing to the market a quite novel approach to the mobile business (corporate customers as the target group, sales via resellers without direct sales, maximum outsourcing – IT, network, supporting functions, etc.) prompted 6GMOBILE (formerly InMo until February 2008 and BT InMo prior to April 2009) to choose Comarch as the vendor of a comprehensive, rule-based and highly effective MVNE/MVNO solution, based on modules from Comarch BSS and OSS Suites.
Implementation of the B2B Gateway solution at 6GMOBILE: having the existing Comarch BSS platform successfully implemented and in place, 6GMOBILE wished to extend it with a B2B interface. This new machine-to-machine (M2M) gateway should be a central integration platform, allowing MVNOs and other third parties to have direct access to the underlying BSS platform of 6GMOBILE – without the need for using existing web applications.
Enhancement of roaming call back user experience: Due to the increasing amount of players on the telecommunications market, operators must look for new strategies for cost reduction in order to retain their competitiveness and provide attractive services to their (potential) clients. The attractiveness of a service, however, is not only measured in terms of its price and functionality, but also in relation to the usability and user experience, which are major ingredients of how lucrative a service is to customers in the present-day market.
