The consortium Comarch S.A. and PricewaterhouseCoopers Poland signed on 16.07.2009r. with the Center of the IT Projects in The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, two contracts for the advisory and management services for development of "pl.ID - Poland ID card" project.
The scope of Pl.ID project covers the implementation of following tasks:
• Implementation of an electronic identity card and national identity system based on electronic signature, which is used in information systems of public administration, including the health care system.
• Integration of state registers to ensure efficient flow of information between registries and information systems of various public units
• The release of the records for the Register Offices.
• Modernizing of the national registers at the local and central level.
Total estimated costs of tasks of the PL.ID project are 370 million PLN.
