Comarch ALTUM version 4.0 released

Comarch proudly announces the latest release of its award-winning business management software, Comarch ALTUM. The new version provides significant improvements in the ergonomics of the system, a new search engine, and enhancements to the built-in Business Intelligence tools, the core system, and the ALTUM Mobile and ALTUM Retail modules.

Comarch ALTUM debuted in 2008 and has received four awards from Gartner, CeBIT, and Microsoft honoring its user interface, integrated Workflow tool, and built-in Business Intelligence tools. Zbigniew Rymarczyk, Vice-Director of Comarch S.A. and Director of Comarch’s ERP sector, explains, “Comarch ALTUM is a groundbreaking product for medium and small businesses. The new search engine allows users to perform advanced searches to more quickly find documents from and to particular vendors and clients with defined values within a date range. The indexing mechanism organizes search results into a format that makes it easier to locate documents.

Version 4.0 includes new document types, logistics and trade process improvements, new accounting and financial functions, and upgraded ALTUM Mobile functionalities. The Mobile system has been enhanced to not only support sales and warehouse management, but to also provide Business Intelligence reports from user’s cell phones. Additionally, the new release makes it easier to link landed costs with their corresponding products.

Comarch ALTUM has been available on the U.S. market since the second half of 2008 through direct sales and authorized partners of Comarch. The system is designed for small and medium enterprises from the trade and services sector and retail chain stores. The system’s main distinguishing features are its built-in Workflow Processes and Business Intelligence tools, and its open architecture for integration with external systems and adaptation to the needs of the user. Comarch ALTUM uses Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL technologies. New versions with enhanced features are developed every half a year; the next version release is scheduled for October 2009.
