Comarch and Inspur intend to break into the China ERP market together. Comarch and the Chinese Inspur Group have agreed on the general outline of a joint venture for breaking into the Chinese ERP market together. The stated goal of both parties is to conclude the negotiations during the next few weeks.

Comarch will continue the activities that it began in the summer of 2009 for the marketing of the ERPII software Comarch Semiramis on the Chinese market. After the signing of partnership agreements with four Chinese software and systems companies in September and another sales partnership with an SCM specialist in November, negotiations are now underway in Krakow and Munich for a joint development of the Chinese ERP market with the Inspur Group, one of the largest Chinese IT providers (an annual revenue of around EUR 2.7 billion). The aim is to found a joint venture in order to develop and market target group-specific solutions for the Chinese market on the basis of the ERPII software.

Comarch Semiramis as a platform for a portfolio of new solutions

- Comarch Semiramis is an ERP platform which we are able to use in order to implement our expertise and many years of experience in various industries and target groups in a very positive manner. The software offers the most modern technology and a wide range of functionality. The fact that the entire system is web-based as well as the strong specifications of the software functionalities for production and logistics, are ideal prerequisites for the development of a portfolio of modern solutions, which can be implemented in a flexible manner, explains Sun Pishu, CEO of the Inspur Group.

- Up until now, the Chinese market for standard economic software has been characterised by solutions for accounting, sales, purchasing, and warehousing. There is significant demand for modern production and supply-chain logistic solutions, such as those offered by Comarch Semiramis. As the market leader in the area of accounting, the Inspur Group is entrenched in the best possible position in this market with 32,000 clients. Together with Inspur, we intend to gain a considerable portion of the ERP market in China, which is experiencing strong growth,
says Ralf Gärtner, a member of the Managing Board for Marketing and Products at Comarch’s subsidiary SoftM AG, the manufacturer of Semiramis. According to the market researchers of CCID Consulting, the ERP market in China will increase by 18% on average, in the area of medium-sized companies with 100 to 200 employees, during the current and upcoming year.
