In line with a company strategy of entering Scandinavian capital markets, Comarch participated in the 10th Annual Scandinavian Institutional Investors Summit, which took place in Stockholm on June 10th 2010. The conference, organized by the Information Management Network (IMN), gathered over 100 institutional investors, consultants, investment banking professionals and asset managers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The delegates developed the topics of hedge fund investment, directions of asset allocation, transition management and regulations for insurance companies with regards to Solvency II. Moreover, much attention was given to the economic implications of climate change, clean technology (as one of the most potent sectors within the investment landscape), ESG factors (Environmental Social and Governance factors) and CAT bonds (catastrophe bonds). Case studies were delivered on the successful engagement between shareholders and corporations in addressing sustainability, human rights and corporate management issues. The event also brought an insight into US life insurance revealing the evolution of life settlements and their return potential as well as weighing the opportunities and risks in the US longevity asset class.
