Comarch ESDK+
Problem
KDPW S.A. introduced several essential changes in the rules on the transmission of information on contracted transactions on securities within the framework of the NSDR. The most important changes are:
- The change of the range of information sent – the existing mixture of flat files of different structures was replaced by worldwide popular XML format, conforming with ISO Standards 15022 and 20022
- The change of the codification of transactions and information accounts The opening of a new on-line communication channel (ESDK)
Unfortunately institutions using KDPW S.A services did not receive the IT solutions that would allow for the immediate utilization of the introduced novelties from KDPW S.A..
Challenge
Two new needs arose due to the changes introduced by KDPW S.A.:
- A need for tools which permitting to prepare all messages required by KDPW S.A.( settlement instructions , queries, operations on NSD accounts etc.) in an efficient and certain manner
- A need for tools, which at the growing pace of the turnover on securities, can assure automatized and fast data exchange with KDPW S.A.
Solution
A tool satisfying both these needs is the Comarch ESDK+ application. The application consists of two basic modules:
The Edition Module (replacing former „Module A”) – allowing:
- manual creation of the any message required by NSDR, enhanced with lists of values, default values and templates
- monitoring of transaction processing based on answers from KDPW
- the printout of reports from processed messages
- the export and import of messages necessary for the message exchange by the ESDI system
- automatic communication with KDPW S.A., based on the integration with the COMARCH ESDK+ Communication Module
The Communication Module (the alternative to the ESDI system) – allowing:
- the automatic transfer of XML messages created in other systems (eg. in the Comarch ESDK+ Edition Module or the Comarch Custody system)
- the automatic import of XML messages created by KDPW S.A.
- the review and the search of the content of announcements.
Every module can be implemented independently or adapted to the data exchange with third party back-office systems.
