Comarch has completed the first phase of implementing a mobile app for UNIQA agents that enables reading AZTEC codes from vehicle registration documents. This significantly shortens the process of insurance rate calculation.

‘The solution enables UNIQA agents to perform quotations more efficiently – they do not have to manually enter the vehicle data into the offer registration form’, says Tomasz Arciszewski, Director of Comarch's Production Center.

The application also supports agents of by giving them the opportunity to take, save and categorize photos associated with a policy, customer, or damage.

In Poland, data pertaining to vehicles with a roadworthiness certificate issued after October 1st, 2004 is encrypted in their registration documents in the form of a pictorial AZTEC code.

With a reader of such code, embedded in the app, the user can retrieve e.g. personal data or address of a vehicle owner within seconds, thus facilitating the sale of insurance policies or the auto claims adjustment.

The app, adapted for smartphones with iOS and Android systems, is one of the elements of the sales force portal - Comarch Insurance Agent Essentials, which has operated at UNIQA for two years now under the name of POS 2.0, supporting the daily duties of insurance intermediaries.

‘Our main goal with the implementation of the mPOS app integrated with our Mobile Sales Portal was to reduce customer service time, facilitate agent operations, and automate the data entry process. The app supports all agent communication processes requiring for documents or photos to be sent along’, emphasizes Monika Jaroń, Head of UNIQA's Project and Organization Department.

As announced by UNIQA representatives, the app will be successively expanded with additional functional areas increasing the productivity of agent network.
