Comarch ALTUM allows you to assign any number of features and attributes to the articles and other objects in the system. After selecting the appropriate option, these features and attributes will be included in OLAP analytical areas and reports in Business Intelligence tools. This functionality provides virtually unlimited reporting capabilities. For example, you can find out how many red, XL-sized shirts from the summer collection have been sold last month.

Business Intelligence management panel

Comarch ALTUM BI management panel is an application allowing you to configure and maintain the ETL process which feeds up the data warehouse and OLAP cubes with the data from operational data base of Comarch ALTUM.

You’re able to define your own ETL (extracting, transforming and loading process) parameters and configure packages. You also have the ability to define your own SQL procedures that will be executed during the ETL transformation, respectively before or after importing a dimension or fact. It also makes it possible to load information from external sources in such a way.

Additionally, the management panel lets you define other system tasks, such as time and frequency of the ETL process, and gives you insight into detailed information covering the ETL process.

Flexible reporting

Comarch ALTUM enables the creation of almost any statement or report based on information available in the system. Therefore you can:

• Create reports using multiple measures, dimensions and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) describing your business
• Drag & drop data elements from an extensive list to quickly customize and design reports with the information you need.

The Comarch ALTUM BI management panel allows for detailed parameterization of the data warehouse and OLAP cubes, in order to optimize and adapt it to the business requirements. The tool is intuitive to use and does not require technical knowledge regarding databases and data warehouses to i.e. add dimensions to, or remove unused measures from existing data marts (analytical areas). What would normally take you a lot of time – by manually configuring ETL process and setting up relational data warehouse and multidimensional OLAP database structures - now can easily and quickly be done in the BI management panel.
