Last week, a series of organizational meetings commenced this year’s edition of the summer internships. Over 200 students have joined us in 7 branches.
Over 1,300 students showed an interest in this year’s edition. - There were many applicants, as usual. This of course makes us very happy, but at the same time it is an organizational challenge - admits Radosław Chłodowicz, the intern program Coordinator. - Each of the interns receives a ready job, new computer equipment, etc. from us. We are lucky to have many years of experience in the organization of such large projects – he adds.
The internship is organized in two profiles: IT and economics. Within the framework of the first one, the interns have the opportunity to learn about the job specifics in IT projects from the inside. Divided into project groups, the interns receive a subject and a supervisor, who not only looks after the project work schedule, but also plays the role of a guide around the company. The IT projects are primarily focused on the development of programming skills. The economics internship is based on tasks developing the sale of products, market research, or searching for new business opportunities for our new IT solutions.
All the interns receive remuneration for their participation in the program. But this is not the end of the attractions. - Our interns can freely use the Recreation Centre in Krakow. They are also entitled to a week’s holiday, and apart from that, we have always prepared integration events for them. We have already had some of them. - says Radosław Chłodowicz.
The interns will stay in the company until the end of August (economists) or until the end of September (IT), but it is no secret that each year, the internship is just the beginning of the adventure at Comarch for a majority of the students. In the previous year, over 70% of the interns received a job offer.
